Seniors have discovered computers!
!ike Columbus, they’ve found a new frontier.
Unlike Ponce deLeon, they’ve found a fountain of youth.
Like Magellan, they are navigating the world.

The Minnetonka Seniors Computer Interest Group (MSCIG) was organized in 1993, by and for persons of varying computer knowledge and ability.
Its purpose is not to teach computers, but to encourage discussion and sharing of computer knowledge and experience.
Initially, meetings were bi-weekly and limited to discussion only. Later-on the first computer was acquired.
Computer experience within MSCIG ranges evenly, from “new to computers” to “careers in the industry” and open to both PC and Mac users! Both women and men are encouraged to join the group. It’s not a collection of “Techies”!
Weekly program topics are solicited from attending members. On average, outside speakers present a third of the programs while presentations by members and Q&A sessions comprise the rest.
We meet every Friday (except holidays) from 10 AM to Noon at the Minnetonka Community Center in the Minnetonka Mills Room (see facility details) with an average attendance of 25 – 30.
MSCIG has a Windows OS computer that connects to an LCD Projector that displays the computer desktop on a large screen. A state of the art sound system is installed in the meeting room for those who have trouble hearing.
After attending several (4) get-acquainted sessions, newcomers, if they elect to join, are expected to make a one-time, non-refundable contribution of $50 – no annual fees are charged. Contributions are used solely for the purchase of computer related equipment and supplies.
